Wow so much the past couple months! 3 Digit IQ played a packed Tommy Rocker's rock/strip club for his grand opening - and I jumped up on stage with a stripper for my sax solo for "Missionary Man"! Very surreal. A few GREAT Singing Telegrams were had (as far away as Sweden! And yes, 90% of the wedding party was blonde!). Plucky & Squeezy made their debut with raving success meeting 4 separate guests at the airport. Security said no, but then we just got quieter, lost the pro video dude, and all was swell. Southwest airlines (my new favorite now!) even invited us into the baggage office to play over the microphone so the whole baggage area could hear us play "Hotel California". Good times….
Cybele sold one of her great "colabs" artworks and was invited to show
three of her new "Vinyl Record" artworks at a swanky/hip gallery in Halifax Nova Scotia!!

Last weekend's "3 digit IQ" and Billy Joel shows went fantastic. Getting saxamaphone repaired at local store, and getting ready for Iowa and Canada tour next week. Then up to San Francisco area for two Billy Joel shows!

Valentine's Day was a record breaking Singing Telegram day! 7 in one day!! This Saturday, Feb 24, 2007 I'll be showing Cybele and Lori's jewelry for sale at the Winter Festival across from the UNLV in the "Promenade? Cybele started making unique jewelry with artist Lori Leslie, and they have just put photos and prices up on Cybelesque.com In other Las Vegas news, I just did two singing telegrams this Saturday and they were a blast! Last week, I did a Singing Telegram for a children's birthday party. A little nervous at first (me!), but it was terrific. Exactly 8 months until my birthday!! Ok, big stuff happening. Just finished VERY fun "Pirate" Polkadot Wizard telegram for a birthday boy - great fun for all of us!! Got a call from "America's Got Talent" saying they're still deciding, and I'm still in the running. They did ask if I still had my April schedule open as that's when they might be filming! Wink wink, nudge nudge. Just got a gig for Dec 30th backing Michael John as Billy Joel in St George Utah. He is super terrific!! But boy, I'll be driving back to Vegas late that night, and then leaving the next morning for my drive to Los Angeles for the big Elton John NYE concert! Ok, back to practice.

Wow, busy couple of weeks for the Polkadot Wizard!!! I just happened to catch myself on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" last night Oct 17, 2006!! Yep, the segment where the Last Comic standing guy did a funny piece on the auditions for "America's Got Talent" a couple of weeks ago in Las Vegas, and he filmed yours truely!! Also, last week I did the WEIRDEST Singing Telegram ever, and I bet that will be airing VERY soon on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live"!!! Maybe even this week! I have my fingers crossed that my audition paid off, and "America's Got Talent" will be calling me in a few weeks :-) Oh, and a belated happy birthday to our favorite guitarist "Steven St Cheese"!!! I just played a top 40 gig with "The Flashh" at the Venetian for a big corporate 80's party, and you would have been much better at that gig!! (no offense Felipe, it's just that Steve wears more silver!)

Both accordion parties went great! There was much CHEESE slung around, and I even got on the main stage at the Hofbrauhaus for a while. I also played a big biz mixer the other night and got hired from that for a wedding in a couple of weeks. I'm playing a Singing Telegram at the Monte Carlo this morning (the casino, not the city).

Cybele in middle of art projects, sold painting in Florida! I'm doing my Polkadot Wizard show at the Hofbrauhaus this Sunday, Sep 24, 2006 from 2-5pm (FREE!) as part of the big WineNart Monthly festival. Day before I'm playing a private party at some swanky house in the hills (hills, ha ha).

Played a few totally different accordion concerts lately. Lunch time concert at a retirement community - was a blast. While my "boss" was urging me to play some slower tunes, a couple of fans at different tables were motioning for me to play more quick polkas! I was between a rock and a hard place! Then a few days ago, I was hired by Beachers to play at Paris Hilton's record release party! Quite opposite gigs! Seems like I'm only one of the few gigging Accordionists in Las Vegas!! I may be playing Winnipeg Canada in October, and back at the OC pavilion with Elton John for New Years Eve. Stay tuned J

Cybele just finished a "trifecta" art exhibit for Las Vegas' 1st Friday. She had an awesome colaboration sculpture in a gallery, one of her great sculpture in the Ironworks gallery, and also did her own installation for "Spaced Invaders" at the Aruba hotel (transformed a plain room into a den of twisted art!!). I just finished a day of being an extra for the movie "Knocked Up" (photos linked from the funclub!), did gig with local cover band "The Flashh" (yes, 2 h's!), and am meeting with a singer and agent today for more gigs (one for being her piano player at a
itehouse Christmas Party!). Plus I gotta start practicing for my week tour in Oregon and Washington :-)

Busy couple weeks!! Cybele's 1st Friday art show at the swanky L Maynard Gallary was fantastic, and folks had a month to check out her art there (with 2 great other shows to come this month!). I've done a few great singing telegrams, one of which poolside at the Flamingo! Couple great auditions, and just got hired from one to be a part of the big "Beachers Madhouse" show at the Hard Rock casino (I'll probably be doing quite a few shows there!). Oh, and we were on national tv on the Bravo station. Cybele and I (and some of our art friends) were on an episode of "Queer Eye" with Cybele in her fantastic "Cards dress". Ok, back to work.

Boy, has this past week been busy!! Just finished a bunch of last minute gigs - a cool gig from Minneapolis with me dressed in a tux, playing background accordion music for a birthday party at a fancy Italian restaurant in the Orleans casino (turning into a fun singing telegram at the end!) - and before that in the same day, a four hour roaming accordion gig for a store's grand opening. Got that one from browsing craigslist, and took it upon myself to change into 3 different costumes throughout the gig. Great fun!
Then, another couple singing telegrams and Pianos Gone Wild! At MTZC for their big 3rd Thursday art event/big multi-birthday party bash. Too bad I couldn't get "St Patrick's Rip Roaring Drunk", cause I had to do another singing telegram the next MORNING! Plus, a couple hours after that, did my audition for a piano gig at the Hofbrauhaus (passed!). Ok, guess that's it for now, gotta go do stuff. Botielus p.s. just confirmed I'll be playing California on July 1st at the OC Pavilion with Elton John extraordinaire Joel Mason!
